The area lies just outside Yirgacheffe town, with Fisega Genet as the nearest small town — connecting Kochore to one of Ethiopia's most celebrated coffee landscapes while holding onto its quieter, rural character. Here, coffee is grown organically by smallholder farmers across the Kochore and Kishsha areas, where farming remains closely tied to tradition, patience, and careful stewardship of the land.

Kochore is a newly established station, still in the early stages of its development. Today it works with around 56 local coffee suppliers under producer Assefa Korma, with plans to grow as its infrastructure and capacity expand.
