In the majestic Dipilto-Jalapa mountain range, Finca Brisas del Mogoton finds its home in the heart of the reserve, atop the highest point in Nicaragua, the Mogoton peak, at 2107 meters. The property was acquired by Mr. Mauricio Jimenez in 1998 for forestry, but in 2005, it was handed down to his children, Bayardo, Lenny, and Marvin Ramon.
Recognizing the potential of their land, the brothers embarked on their coffee cultivation journey in 2008, focusing on producing high-quality coffee to ensure the farm’s self-sustainability. They began by planting traditional Arabica varieties such as Bourbon, Caturra, Typica, and Maracaturra. As time passed, the brothers continued to innovate, introducing exotic varieties like Geisha, K7, Bourbon Rosado, Sidra, and Batian, which are now producing their first beans. We're excited to feature their distinguished Caturra and Typica-washed micro-lot, in addition to their outstanding Natural Geisha.
Their commitment to excellence doesn’t stop there. The brothers are dedicated to evolving their coffee lots by experimenting with new cultivation techniques and exploring additional coffee varieties. This ongoing effort ensures that Brisas del Mogoton remains at the forefront of quality and innovation in the coffee industry. The farm takes pride in presenting the unique flavors of their exotic coffees, each cup reflecting the passion and dedication of the Jimenez brothers.
